Over at Romancing the Blog Eric is revealing the many life skills he's learned from reading romance novels. From Pride and Prejudice, for example, he's learned the benefits of behaving in a more gentleman-like manner. I imagine that now, as depicted in the picture on the right, "He could even listen to Sir William Lucas [...] with very decent composure.
